Radio
Introduction
Radio is the small electronic device that contains electromagnet spectrum and is being used for a wide range of purposes. From its beginning till now the radio is being used to deliver messages to masses whether it's strictly news stories like in its beginning period, or broadcasting new music to fans across the world now a days. It played a major role in the World War II as three international broadcasters the BBC World Service, Voice of America and Deutsche Welle generated news to the masses:

It played a major role in the World War II as three international broadcasters the BBC World Service, Voice of America and Deutsche Welle generated news to the masses:
“They sent out words, not bullets; ideas
not bombs, and they broke down a wall and helped break up an evil empire.” (Wood,
2000)
Early
history of Radio
The inception of radio started back in 1864 when James Clarke
Maxwell presented a theory that when electricity passes through a wire it
gives invisible waves under certain conditions, then Heinrich Hertz proved
this theory true in 1887-8. Then come a Russian scientist professor Popov
who tried to experiment with the wireless transmission in 1895. After him there
was an Italian inventor Guglielmo Marconi who successfully transmitted
wireless signals in his radio telegraph assignment. It was the first successful
experiment began in 1895 and continued through 1899. His wireless transmission
was first to send across the distance of 2 miles and gradually it increased to
8 miles. Then after few developments in his experiment the first radio
telephony program was broadcasted in year 1906 at Brank rock city when a guy
sang and played the violin, his audience was few notified newspaper
representatives who thought that they were hearing angel’s voice coming from
the equipment called radio.
Development
Finally in October 1917, the Russian cruiser Aurora broadcasted the
world’s first public service radio broadcast before that all the broadcasting
was for the personal experiments, none of them tried public service radio
broadcast. The major developments in radio initially were for ship-to-shore
communications mainly. In 1926 the primary broadcasting network
was shaped, launching the golden age of radio, typically attributable with making the
primary trendy broadband FM system,
Armstrong engineered and operated the
primary FM station, KE2XCC, in 1938 at Alpine, It was the the smallest
yet costly style of amusement throughout the great Depression, the radio set became a customary unit fixture,
notably within the United States. On June 30, 1948
the semiconductor was with success incontestable at
Bell Laboratories (Naughton, 2001). The semiconductor allowed radios
to become smaller in size. In 1959, Jack Kilby and Robert Noyce was
authorized the primary patent for the microcircuit they formed.
Modern Development
Nodaway’s radio size is way too compact than ever before. Numerous radio stations have been formed in United Arab Emirates to fulfill the purpose of information and entertainment. Few years back people used to listen to radio on their tape recorders with the AM and PM frequencies along with the antenna that rarely caught signals (Browne, 1982). After some developments radio became more compact and only FM frequency replaced AM and PM without any hassle of antenna, and then this technology made a place in our cell phones and now in our Smartphone.

“The story of FM since 1980 is increasingly of the medium as
an integral definer of radio, expecially in its many music formats…” (Keith,
2008)
From huge tape recorders in home to Smartphone’s in our
pocket, Radio has been a source of true infotainment since decades. During the past few years, the United Arab Emirates FM
radio business has been undergoing a boom within
the variety of prime
quality industrial domestic and international FM radio stations
that are providing quality infotainment to Arabs.
Conclusion
The large number of stations are remarkable. They broadcast a
range of programs all over the day through that content producer
and advertisers are targeting the masses. Around
the globe there are over 2 billion radio devices in use or about one radio
device for every 3 persons is an example that video transmission can never kill
the radio star!
